Overview
Centward is an independently operated savings goal tracking application based in Alberta, Canada. It does not connect to bank accounts, hold funds, transfer money, or provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. This policy applies to the Centward mobile app, website, support, and related services.
Information we process
Account information
You may use core local savings features without an account. If you create an account, Centward processes your display name, email address, authentication provider, authentication status, and Firebase account identifier so you can sign in, synchronize cloud data, and use account-connected features. Authentication is handled by Firebase and, when selected, Apple or Google. Centward does not receive your Apple or Google password.
Google Sign-In on iOS
When you choose Google Sign-In in the iOS app, Google’s sign-in service may process names, email addresses, phone numbers, account and device identifiers, approximate location inferred from an IP address, usage information, and other sign-in service data. This includes information processed by Google that may not be returned to or displayed by Centward.
Contact information and approximate location support sign-in, security, and fraud prevention. Account identifiers and other sign-in service data support app functionality and analytics. Device identifiers and usage information are used for analytics. Google declares these categories as linked to the user’s identity. Centward does not request access to your precise GPS location.
Technical diagnostics on iOS
Firebase’s authentication and cloud services collect technical diagnostic information, including device, operating-system, app, and development-platform information, for service analytics. Firebase describes this diagnostic information as not linked to a user or device identifier. This technical information is separate from the account and savings information that Centward associates with your signed-in account.
Savings and app content
Centward processes information you enter, including savings goals, target amounts, contributions, withdrawals, dates, reminders, preferences, challenges, achievements, and related activity. This information is stored on your device. When you use a connected account, eligible information is also synchronized through Firebase cloud services.
Subscription information
An account is required to purchase or restore Centward Plus. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. RevenueCat processes the store transaction, product, entitlement, renewal, and subscription-status information needed to provide and restore Plus, validate purchases, and prevent fraud. Purchase history is also used for subscription reporting and analytics. Centward uses your Firebase user identifier as the RevenueCat App User ID, linking this purchase history and Plus access to your Centward account. Centward does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Device features and exports
If you enable reminders or widgets, your device processes the settings and information needed to provide them. Files you export are created at your request and are sent only to the location or app you choose through your device’s sharing controls.
Support communications
If you contact support, we process the email address and information you provide so we can respond and investigate your request.
How information is used
- Provide and maintain Centward’s features.
- Authenticate accounts and synchronize information.
- Display savings progress, reminders, and achievements.
- Process, verify, and restore Centward Plus subscriptions.
- Understand use of sign-in and subscription services through provider analytics.
- Respond to support requests and diagnose service problems.
- Protect the security and reliability of the app.
Service providers
Centward uses service providers that support app operation, including Google Firebase for authentication and cloud functionality, Apple and Google for sign-in and store services, and RevenueCat for subscription management. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards and practices of those providers. Each provider also processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a transaction you request.
The current iOS app does not use this data for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. Associating savings or a subscription with your Centward account supports account features and does not by itself constitute advertising tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Account and cloud information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the app. A successful in-app account deletion removes your Centward authentication account and associated cloud savings data. Savings stored locally remain on that device as disconnected local savings. Store transaction history and subscription records controlled by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat may be retained under their policies and legal obligations. Providers may also retain technical, sign-in, and security records under their retention policies. Support communications may be retained as reasonably needed to respond and maintain appropriate records.
Your choices
Google Sign-In is optional. You can instead choose Sign in with Apple or email-and-password authentication. Core local savings features can be used without creating an account; cloud synchronization and subscription features require an account. Using local features does not necessarily stop technical diagnostics processed by app service providers.
You may edit or export information inside the app, control notification permissions in device settings, restore eligible purchases while signed in, and delete your account in Centward settings. Depending on your location, you may also have legal rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Contact us to make a request. Deleting the app or your Centward account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; subscriptions must be managed through the applicable store.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Centward is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age required in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the matter.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Centward’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
